Book Review: Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk
Title: Survivor
Author: Chuck Palahniuk
Rating: 5/5 stars
Why read this book? Chuck Palahniuk has done it again. Every page of this book is riddled with delicious commentary about the consumerist, fame-lusting, cult-of-personality-driven culture that we live in, but not in a way that makes it ponderous or heavy-handed. Rather, the books surprising subtlety lends the book a remarkable force for the reader. The twist ending is not obvious or trite, but works to enhance the themes of the novel without overdoing it. All in all, a fantastic read that will keep you hungry for more. This book comes highly recommended.
