Intro: wanderer
Name:
wanderer
Goal: 10 non-fiction books read by September 8th, no more than 4 out of the 10 to be education-related. At least 1 on Canadian history.
Definition of "book": Non-fiction; collections of articles/essays okay. No length requirement (within reason. . .)
Books read so far: 0/10
A little about my goal and my reading habits: I have no problem reading fiction books, but I find that when I'm in school, non-fiction reading for pleasure tends to be less enticing, and I don't pick up the habit easily again when I'm not in classes! I'd like to broaden my horizons, and do a little more over the summer: ideally, it'll be a mix of history, world affairs, environmental concerns and other relevant topics. Of course, I can easily read dozens of books about education and educational theory, so I'm limiting that to 4, and I live in Canada but have only a broad overview of Canada-specific history, so I want to find at least one good book to expand my knowledge.
