Two books knocked off the half-read pile today. Definitely a productive use of my day off.

Goal: 30 books by July 15 2010; That is, thirty books within the next year.
Definition of "book": No page limit, graphic novels are a-okay, and rereads are also included. The only defining factor is that it must be/have been published, i.e., fanfiction doesn't count (unless we're talking published fanfiction, such as the Warcraft books; then it's game). Books read for academic purposes (I'm an English major, so this is quite a few) also count.
Books read so far: 0, starting this list new and fresh.

A little about my goal and my reading habits: I've gotten out of the habit of reading lately, so in an effort to clear out my stack of "to be read" books and to get myself back into the habit of reading, I'm starting up this goal. I tried to pick something that seemed like a nice, easy number considering how little free time I have and how little of that gets dedicated to reading. I tend to switch back and forth between moods of wanting to do nothing but read every book I can get my hands on to not wanting to read anything and instead focusing on another hobby, such as gaming or writing. I'm a full-time student with a part-time job, so my free time is limited, but I'm hoping I can pull this off through the help of summer and winter vacations.

If I can finish this goal before the end of the time limit I've set, I'll add to the number to see just how far I can push it. However, thirty seems like a good starting point considering my track record with reading lately.
